From May 31 to June 2, Long Beach, California, USA, hosted the Western Edge Championship, featuring a robotics competition in the FLL Challenge category. Participating from Kazakhstan were two teams from Bilim Foundation schools: students from the Spectrum International School in Astana and BIL for Girls from Shymkent.
The Spectrum team was among the top 13, scoring 495 points in the robot game. Their innovative project, aligned with the season’s theme “Innovation in Art,” focused on teaching photography and videography.
The team from BIL Shymkent introduced “7 Qyrly,” a platform that educates participants in playing traditional Kazakh musical instruments, preparing national Kazakh dishes, and engaging in folk handicrafts.
Congratulations to the teams on their outstanding performances, and best wishes for continued success in future competitions!
