In his recent Address to the People of Kazakhstan, the Head of State emphasized:
“Just as it is important to encourage the younger generation to pursue knowledge, it is equally important to guide them along the right path, provide clear direction, and ensure quality upbringing. We must pay special attention to ensuring that young people grow up honest and hardworking. To become a nation with progressive thinking, it is necessary to transform the consciousness of the entire society, strengthen our national identity, shape a new quality of the nation, establish a new system of values, and place particular emphasis on instilling these values in the younger generation.”
In this regard, within the framework of the international event, a number of promising studies aimed at improving the upbringing and education of the younger generation were discussed in line with the President’s directives.
The roundtable was attended by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ghani Bektayuly, Senator Bibigul Zheksenbai, and Mr. Tom Harrison, a professor at the University of Birmingham (United Kingdom) and a leading global expert.
In addition, Professor Liao Shao Jun, Director of the “Values-Based Education” Center at the National Institute of Education in Singapore, and Professor Jasmine Seing, Chair of the Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of Singapore, specially attended and shared their insights. Prominent leaders of the country’s top universities and scholars also offered substantive and thoughtful contributions.
This significant event, which became a platform for insightful discussions, reflects the idea that the future of every nation lies in its well-raised younger generation.
