Tiered teacher and school leadership CPD (Continuing Professional Development) courses

As part of the Foundation’s initiative, CPD courses were developed to improve the qualifications of teachers and school administrators.

The teacher CPD courses

The CPD programme for teachers is the result of 30 years of experience working in the Kazakhstani education systems in combination with ongoing work and studying international experience. Our unique CPD programme is developed with an emphasis on meeting the needs of both new and experienced teachers.

To meet the diverse needs of teachers, the CPD courses are developed at different levels, starting from understanding the philosophy of teaching and the role of homework, and ending with the development of character education and research-based learning. Each course can also be broken down into separate master classes so that teachers can address specific issues they encounter in their school practice. Currently, more than 2000 teachers from various schools have completed our CPD courses.

School leadership courses

The ‘Leadership Foundations’ course is a comprehensive program designed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills required to lead and manage schools effectively. The course is divided into three levels, with each level covering a set of topics that are essential for successful leadership in an educational setting.

The first level of the course focuses on fundamental leadership skills such as delegation, conflict management, leading effective meetings, problem-solving, lesson observation, and critical thinking. These skills are crucial for building a strong foundation for leadership and are essential for effective decision-making in a school setting.

The second level of the course delves deeper into topics such as empathy and emotional intelligence, communication skills such as questioning and active listening, design thinking, staff development, and data-wise decision-making. These skills help educators to communicate effectively, develop staff, and make data-driven decisions that improve the overall performance of the school.

The third level of the course emphasizes the role of the school principal, including staff development, hunting and hiring quality teachers, working with behavior and discipline issues, and defining the school’s vision, mission, and core values. This level prepares educators to take on leadership roles in a school and equips them with the tools needed to create a positive school culture and ensure the success of their students.
